The School of Behavioural Sciences (SOBS) at Central Global University focuses on teaching, training, research, and development. Committed to providing international-quality training, SOBS aims to produce proficient professionals in counselling psychology, industrial and organizational psychology, and mental health.
Our Master’s program in Applied Psychology offers specializations in health/mental health, child and adolescent counselling/trauma and grief counselling, and organizational psychology. Graduates have strong job prospects, including opportunities for self-employment with a license to practice. The program features intensive training and a two-month internship in the chosen specialization.
Research and practical work are integral to all programs, examining human behavior through cognitive, affective, motivational, and psycho-physiological factors. We emphasize action research, field experiments, and longitudinal studies, covering neuropsychology, cognitive psychology, and psychometry. Our goal is to diagnose, solve problems, and restore individuals to productive lives. Collaboration extends across disciplines within the university and with national and international researchers.
As part of the Liberal Arts Centre, we encourage critical thinking and community engagement, with students actively participating in academic and community service planning.
